Every week, Principal Hsin-Yi invites elementary students to her office to talk about books they’ve read.
She listens carefully and asks thoughtful questions.
Students share their favorite parts, the characters they like, and what they learned from the story.
Sometimes, they even bring their books and show pictures or read short parts aloud.
This special time helps students become more confident and enjoy reading more.
It also gives the principal a chance to know her students better and understand what they are interested in.
Students will enjoy reading even more when they have the chance to talk about it with their principal.
每週,心怡校長都會邀請國小部的同學到校長室,聊聊他們讀過的書。
她會仔細聆聽,也會親切地問問題。
同學們會分享他們最喜歡的部分、喜歡的角色,以及從故事中學到的事情。
有時候,他們還會帶著書來,展示裡面的圖片,或朗讀一小段給大家聽。
這段特別的時間讓同學更有自信,也更喜歡閱讀。
校長也可以藉此更了解同學,知道他們的興趣是什麼。
當大家可以一起討論書本、彼此學習時,閱讀就變得更有趣了。
Every week during the morning assembly, our foreign teacher, Ms. Ronica, shares something special about her home country—the Philippines.
She talks about Filipino culture, food, clothes, and holidays.
Each week, students from different classes take turns as interpreters.
They help translate her words into Chinese for everyone to understand.
Through this activity, students learn more about other countries and improve their English, too!
每週的朝會時間,我們的外籍教師Ronica老師都會與大家分享她的家鄉——菲律賓的特色文化。
她會介紹菲律賓的文化、美食、服飾以及節慶等有趣的內容。
每週也會由不同班級的學生輪流擔任小小翻譯員,協助將老師的分享內容翻譯成中文,讓全校師生都能理解。
透過這項活動,學生不僅增進了對異國文化的了解,也提升了英語聽說的能力!
As part of this semester’s English curriculum “Hsinyi English Reading & Art”, junior high students worked with Ms. Nancy and foreign teacher Ronica to explore the beauty of Taiwan.
Students gave short presentations in English about Taiwan’s local culture, including food, landmarks, festivals, and traditions. Some also expressed their ideas through drawings or visual projects.
This activity helped students better understand their hometown and build confidence in using English to share what they know.
本學期英語課程「信義英語閱讀與藝術」中,國中部學生與Nancy老師及外籍教師Ronica攜手合作,共同探索台灣之美。
學生們以英文進行簡短發表,介紹台灣的在地文化,包括美食、地標、節慶與傳統等內容。有些學生也透過繪畫或視覺作品來表達自己的想法。
這項活動不僅讓學生更深入認識自己的家鄉,也提升了他們以英語分享所學的自信與能力。
Professional Development Session: Promoting International Education at School
A professional development session on promoting international education was held for teachers on Wednesday afternoon, during a time with no scheduled classes.
To support the school's efforts in developing international education programs and activities, the Academic Affairs Office invited Ms. Wei, a director from Dacun Elementary School, to share her valuable experience.
Ms. Wei presented real examples of how her school has planned and carried out international education initiatives. Through her sharing, teachers gained a better understanding of international education and were encouraged to think about how to include global topics in their daily teaching.
教師增能:如何發展學校國際教育
為了積極推動校內的國際教育課程與活動,教務處本學期特別邀請大村國小的魏相英主任,分享她在推動國際教育方面的經驗與做法。
講座安排在週三下午無課務時段進行,讓老師們有時間深入了解國際教育的內涵。
魏主任以實際案例介紹如何規劃與執行國際教育課程,幫助老師們思考如何將國際議題融入日常教學。
